The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, hotel and room were clean, well kept and had a great atmosphere. Breakfast was fantastic and has a lot of tables in the dining area, so no need to wait other guests to finish their meals. It has a very convenient location (railway station within 10 mins on foot) and has numerous public transportation lines in the area. Highly recommend even for longer stays.

We had a great stay at this hotel.Located perfectly, close to train station,metro,buses,shops and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and professional, we arrived early and as our room wasnt ready yet we could drop our bags in the locked room for free.The room itself was a good size,with big TV and super comfy beds.Bathroom on a small side- you could only open one shower door so I can imagine for a bigger person this would be an issue.The best of the best breakfast- amazing range of choice- everything you could think off - from healthy choices like fruits,veggies,youghurt, smoothie to scramble eggs,bacon, selection of bread .Great value for money.I would definitely stay again.

Spent three nights at Thon Hotel Astoria Breakfast is plentiful with juice, coffee, espresso machine, juice, smoothies, milk, yogurt, fruits, so many breads, cheeses, salmon, herring, cold cuts, eggs, bacon, sausages, etc. Should be enough to start your day! I was upgraded from a small single room to a standard single. I cannot imagine how small a small single room must be, but the one I got was perfectly fine for one person. Room was clean, had a little desk, television set, a shower and a hair dryer. Single bed was comfortable. Please be aware that as of February 2024, there is construction works from Monday to Saturday in the building next to the hotel. Double check online to see if it still goes on, but if you are away during the whole day, it should not bother you. There is also some humming sound at night coming from the construction site, but it didn't bother me that much. You do hear other rooms as well, but other guests were mostly quiet during my stay. Staff at the were super nice. I could store my bag after check out without any issue. The hotel is very well located, next to the train station, the cathedral and the opera house, so everything is pretty much at walking distance.

I stayed in a very small room , however having all the basic equipment I needed. I love their breakfast. What I did not like is the horrible noise for a demolition site nearby. What is worse is that I was not informed about it before arriving at the hotel ( I would have changed the reservation for another one). But what is even worse is that when I complained about it to the receptionist, he said it is well described on the page of the hotel and during the reservation process. I showed him he is wrong, he just said that there must be a timeout and for sure it was there in December when I booked. What a childish response!

Having stayed several times before I was very pleased to find that the hotel was still just as good - great location, great breakfast, friendly, helpful staff, clean and comfortable. Appreciate that the reception staff are welcoming and helpful.
